New
regulations
Throughout the world, new rules applying to
packaging material and transportation equipment
are progressively being adopted. From now on,
pallets, containers, and other wooden packing
supplies used to export your products must comply
with phytosanitary regulations, in addition to
being approved by an organization recognized by
the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
Laurentian Wood can provide you, right now, with all
the products complying with the new regulations.
An effective
treatment
In order to supply products that comply with the
new standards regarding wooden material used in
packaging and transportation, Laurentian Wood uses an
effective drying and sterilization treatment on
pallets. The treatment prevents the spreading of
parasites, larvae, and fungus causing mildew, in
addition to reducing the weight and humidity level
of pallets.
Certified processes
To sterilize wooden pallets, Laurentian Wood uses
a heat treatment approved by the CFIA where
pallets are heat treated until the internal
temperature of the wood reaches a minimum of 56°C
for at least thirty minutes. The power of a Leader
Once again a pioneer in the industry, Laurentian
Wood has seen three of its plants certified by the CFIA
for the sterilization of new and used pallets.
Laurentian Wood is also certified for the production
and sale of sterilized precut wood used for
anchoring, packing, and many other applications.
As always. Laurentian Wood has shown its desire and
capacity to offer customers products that comply
with the highest standards in the industry.
